Hi there, I’m Amelia
I work as a project manager, am a parent, and I’m an expatriate based in London, United Kingdom.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't part of the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it started as a work opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complex than they should.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Pleasant Field Bond
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in United Kingdom.
What This Site Represents (And Not)
This site IS:
- Hands-on insights gained from living in United Kingdom
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when new information truly comes to light
This site ISN'T:
- A tourist information authority resource
- A paid-for-review site
- A standard travel blog
Forward Looking
Our stay in United Kingdom goes on, and the learning journey continues. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue recording what we uncover.
If you have inquiries about family life in London or anywhere in United Kingdom, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Amelia
